Just what HAS Blake Lively been up to since "Gossip Girl" ended? Other than eating at Cheesecake Factory (girl, we get it), the 26-year-old fashionista has been busy prepping a lifestyle website that, according to Page Six, will feature "curated fashionable items" of Lively's choosing. HMMMMMM where have we heard this one before? Ah yes, Ms. GOOP herself, Gwyneth Paltrow.
So now there are two questions before us: 1) Does the world need another Gwyneth Paltrow? and 2) Will Blake become her? We've already answered the first (no), but while we wait for Blake's as-yet-untitled site (please God, let it be BOOP) to drop July 23, let's examine the evidence behind her Paltrow-ization.
Gwyneth: Coldplay singer Chris Martin
Blake: Actor Ryan Reynolds
Gwyneth: Apple and Moses
Blake: None (so far)
Gwyneth: "The reason that I can be 38 and have two kids and wear a bikini is because I work my [bleeping] ass off." -- Good Housekeeping Shine Awards, 2011
Blake: "I eat cupcakes and I don't work out!" -- US Weekly, 2012
ON HER DIET
Gwyneth: "I have a lot of inflammation in my system, so I'm not having anything I'm allergic to -- no gluten, no dairy, no sugar." -- Harper's Bazaar, on her 12-week detox, 2012
Blake: "Cheesecake Factory is great. It should have Michelin stars." -- New York Magazine, 2013
Gwyneth: Won for best actress in 1998 for "Shakespeare in Love"
Blake: Well, she did win some Teen Choice awards for "Gossip Girl" ...
The verdict: Well, two out of six is dangerously close to 50 percent, but the fact that Blake loves Cheesecake Factory means she could never truly be Gwyneth. Shine on, you silly diamond.
