Fall releases will give hardcore gamers nerdgasms

OK hard-core gamers, you win. In the past couple years, cutesy-pie pet simulators, music games and dumbed down motion gaming titles were all the rage during the big fall video game season, prompting outcries from the type of gamers who like their games as black as their coffee. They worried their favorite pastime would soon be overrun by moms, grandparents and preteen girls. But this year, the fall lineup of video games looks heavy on bloody big-budget action, sim-heavy sports titles and epic role-playing games. In other words, it's time to take a deep breathe and raise a goblet of Mountain Dew in triumph. Because let's face it--Grandpa probably isn't going to pick up "Call of Duty" anytime soon.
