Best: Japandroids
Swap Japandroids and Feist's stages and time slots, and we've got ourselves a party! The rockers made the most of their tiny space, and all you wanted to do was dance. The sky's the limit for these dudes. -- Dana Moran
Even the usual Pitchfork crappy sound issues, a set cut short and a much-too-small stage couldn't stop this rock duo from kicking the crap out of every other act at the fest Friday. The mix of songs from the new "Celebration Rock" and the album that started it all, "Post-Nothing," plus a closer of the band's anthem-worthy "The House That Heaven Built" injected some energy mid-day that most of the drenched fest-goers needed. -Jessica Galliart |
