Maybe we should have seen this coming, seeing as one of her previous album titles was an eight-line poem, but I definitely let out a big sigh at Fiona Apple's title for her new album:

"The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do."

I can just imagine the conversation with my dad now:
"What do you want for your birthday, Jess?"
"Well, I wouldn't mind a copy of Fiona Apple's new album."
"Was she the girl walking around in her underwear? What's it called?"
"Got a pen?"
"Oh, God. Just email me a link?"

Pitchfork says Epic Records is shooting for a late June release date, but taking into consideration how many issues and delays Fiona had with releasing "Extraordinary Machine" in 2005, I'm not holding my breath.

I'll be over here jamming to "Criminal" if you need me.
