Wavefront Music Fest comes to Montrose Beach

Wavefront Music Festival, Chicago's first all electronic music festival, will kick off June 30 - July 1 at Montrose Beach. The two-day event will feature two main stages headlined by acts like Boys Noize, Duck Sauce and Matthew Dear.

The two-day festival will be produced by 4 Headed Productions, a side project of Spy Bar owner Dino Gardiakos.

"I've been thinking about the idea of moving up to a bigger audience and doing something on a larger scale for the last couple of years," Gardiakos said. "When we got a permit to use the beach, it was just the perfect opportunity."

Small tents lining the west side of beach will feature emerging talent not featured on the main stage. Giardiakos hopes the beach setting will help evoke a feel similar to that of the annual Ultra Music Festival in Miami Beach.

An individual day pass is $49 and a two-day pass is $89. VIP passes, which offer access to a private viewing area and complimentary drinks, are available for $125 and $199 respectively. For ticket info, click here.
