Chapter 23 of R. Kelly's 'Trapped in the Closet'
After five years of being trapped in the brain of one Robert Kelly, new chapters of "Trapped in the Closet" have been liberated by the Independent Film Channel, set to begin airing the new set of 10 chapters on Nov. 23.
As basically the modern equivalent to Homer's "The Odyssey," the series has lain dormant amid whispers from R. Kelly that there might be more and relentless clamoring among fans for the same. In March, the R&B legend confirmed the dreams of many when he announced more chapters.
Now Chapter 23 has graced the public, and, in the spirit of its predecessors, is heavy on questions but light on answers. The crew, forever linked by promiscuity and poor hiding places, returns in full, ready to suffer what might befall them after the Chuck-in-the-hospital cliffhanger. And apparently that is phone calls?
There is a lot of phone-answering, but not a lot of phone-talking going on in the new installment. Each character has their activities rudely interrupted by a phone call: Kathy and Rufus are trying to shop, but "those people" ominously keep calling. Gwen and Sylvester just want to watch a movie. Lucius the Pimp could've SWORN he was on the "do not call" list (kidding).
But each of these phone calls could change their life, we'll see soon how they deal with the strife ... strife ... strife ...
