The best Chicago albums of the 21st century

By Ernest Wilkins, Matt Pais and Dana Moran | RedEye

If you've lived in Chicago longer than a week, you've heard about the Smashing Pumpkins discography and have been beaten over the head with how influential "Exile In Guyville" is. It's true, Chicago has crafted some amazingly inspirational bodies of music, but RedEye thought it was high time to advance the conversation about the best of the best firmly into this century. Our only requirement: The album had to come out after 1/1/2001. (BTW: We also thought the century started in 2000.)
