Notoriously nude singer Rihanna stepped into a whole new world of style at Monday night's Council of Fashion Designer Awards. She strutted the red carpet and accepted the trophy for style icon of the year while wearing little more than a sheet of diamonds and a fur stole. Seriously, her eyelashes probably weighed more than her dress. This obviously isn't the first time RiRi's stepped out in little more than her birthday suit, so we figured it was high time to issue the 10 Commandments of Rihanna Style. Ridiculously in-shape body not included.

1 -- Thou shalt give no [bleeps]

This is the pillar upon which all Rihanna outfits are founded.

2 -- Thou shalt employ many wigs

There is legitimately no other way to go from bangs to no bangs to super-short and hot pink in one month.

3 -- Tattoos are thy thine best accessories

Her henna-inspired hand ink works with any outfit, and her breastbone piece loves to play hide-and-seek.

4 -- However, thou also shalt always be coated in jewelry

Remember that old adage about looking in the mirror and taking one piece off? [Bleep] that. Add six.

5 -- Thou shalt not fear flats

Rihanna is only 5-foot-8, but you wouldn't know it from the way she carries herself -- even sans heels.

6 -- Thou art thine own best publicist

7 -- Thou knowest best what works for thine body type

Which, if thou followest Commandment 1, is everything.

8 -- Designers art thine best friends

Especially if thou wants to be runway-side at some of the year's biggest fashion shows. At this year's Paris Fashion Week, Rihanna was spotted at Christian Dior, Balmain, Chanel, Stella McCartney and Givenchy, among many others. That'll keep her dressed for a while.

9 -- Thou must not always smile

A scowl can make an outfit look that much better.

10 -- Thou shalt always be willing to surprise.

Sometimes, like at the 2012 Grammys, Rihanna picks a glamorous gown instead of something shockingly short.
