Baseball, fireworks, a Wilco concert – for certain Chicagoans (and you know who you are), that’s a quintessential summer package.

Wilco announced Sunday on its Web site that it will play a triple-header of sorts July 8 at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark in Geneva, Ill., home of the Kane County Cougars, the Class A professional baseball team.

Joining Wilco on the bill will be Andrew Bird and his band, plus the soul-music octet the Congregation. A fireworks display will bring the concert to a close.

Tickets ($50) go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at etix.com and at the ballpark ticket office. Tickets also will be available at the Vic Theatre box office, 3145 N. Sheffield, with no service charge. Children ages 4 and under will be admitted free. All tickets are general admission.
