Styx, REO to headline tornado relief concert

Styx and REO Speedwagon -- two bands with long histories in Illinois rock – will join forces to play a benefit concert Dec. 4 in Bloomington, Ill., for victims of recent Downstate tornadoes.

Tickets ($28, $43, $58) for Rock to the Rescue Extends a Hand to Those in Need at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, Ill., go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The artists, vendors and local staff will forgo compensation so that more funds will go to families left reeling by the tornadoes. After the storms struck Sunday, 13 Illinois counties were declared disaster areas.
