Black Cards -- the band founded by ex-Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz – has parted ways with singer Bebe Rexha.
Wentz told mtv.com that the split was a mutual decision and added that the band will continue in some capacity.
"Right now, (the band) is just Spencer (Peterson) and me," Wentz said in an email to mtv.com. "Who knows what tomorrow brings. There are a bunch of people I'd like to collaborate with and make some noise. We have a few brand new songs that I can't wait for people to hear."
Black Cards performed at Lollapalooza in August and opened for Travie McCoy at The Metro in March. The band had planned on releasing its debut album last spring but has yet to release an album to date.
“It’s different than Fall Out Boy,” Wentz told me in March. “We need to get the whole building behind it. With Fall Out Boy, it’s like ‘Let’s put out an album,’ and we could just roll it out. We need to market (Black Cards) in a different way. People don’t know us.”
