The 30th annual Chicago Blues Festival will expand to four days, with opening night June 6 at the Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park.
Chicago blues star Shemekia Copeland will kick off the fest that night, with guest guitarist Quinn Sullivan. The concert also will feature Blues Kids of America and Jamiah “On Fire” and the Red Machine.
The rest of the festival will unfold on five stages in Grant Park, with Bobby Rush headlining June 7; and celebrations of Delmark Records' 60th anniversary and Pinetop Perkins’ centennial.The complete schedule will be released in the spring.
