Trailer review: 'Grown Ups 2'

A movie can become a franchise easily when its plot basically consists of its stars hanging out and vaguely pretending that a story is being told.

As such, this summer brings “Grown Ups 2,” in which Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock and David Spade again reminisce about the old days and confront adulthood with all the down-to-earth honesty of a smug, rich movie star. Apparently the sequel contains a moose peeing in Sandler’s face (shocking, a urine joke in a Sandler movie), Spade shouting to James after they skinny-dip, “I was inside you!” and Andy Samberg as a male cheerleader drooling to James, “Your car is filthy.”

And Taylor Lautner, but for once he won’t be the worst thing in the movie.

Trailer rating: Severely painful
