20. "The Artist"
A good bet to win Best Picture, "The Artist" is at least much better than other likely front-runners like "The Descendants," "War Horse," "Moneyball" and "The Tree of Life." But "Artist" deserves praise of its own too; it's a delightfully enjoyable nod to old Hollywood that reminds us what made snappy, non-raunchy humor and a giddy romantic spark so infectious on the big screen in the first place.
