Vancouver-bred actor Taylor Kitsch calls Chicago his 'nemesis'

Later today I'll post my full interview with "Friday Night Lights" star Taylor Kitsch (pictured, second from right), who also stars in "The Bang Bang Club," opening Friday.

For now, here's what Kitsch, who grew up in Vancouver,  had to say about the current series between his Canucks and the Chicago Blackhawks, who are down 3-0 and on the verge of elimination tonight.

What do you think about when people talk about Chicago?
Right now you guys are my nemesis. The Blackhawks, man, my ‘Nucks are taking you guys to school right now.

We’re not much of a nemesis. You’re embarrassing us.
I know. The beauty of it is the last two years you guys knocked us out of the playoffs. So the Canucks have had an incredible season so far and they’re up 3-0. So I’m following that insanely close. Even though I love Chicago. I love watching the Hawks. They’re young, speedy, smart players. They’re fun to watch. You guys are lucky to have those guys here. I’ve never been to Chicago—on a layover to London a couple times but that doesn’t count.

With your Canucks up 3-0, what statement do you have for Chicago now?
Oh, man, now you’re putting me on the spot. It’s an uphill battle, but if any team can do it, the Blackhawks I’m sure have it within themselves. They got a young, fast team so good luck though.
