Gorilla Tango Burlesque looking for Sexy Doctor Who

It looks like the folks at Gorilla Tango Theater are at it again! After scoring hits with "A Nude Hope: A Star Wars Burlesque," "Temple of Boobs:A Indiana Jones Burlesque", as well as "Hooter Rangers: A Spicy Morphin Burlesque", it looks like they will be giving us a take on one of the oldest science-fiction series in television history.

That's right, prepare yourself for a Doctor Who themed burlesque show!

I just learned about it last night and received the following press release on the open casting call they have for the show:

Gorilla Tango Burlesque is auditioning female performers to join the cast of a Doctor Who burlesque opening at Gorilla Tango's Bucktown Theatre (1919 N. Milwaukee Ave.) on Friday nights in February and March.

We are seeking comic actresses of all different shapes and sizes with strong movement backgrounds. Speaking roles include Doctors number 11, 10, 9 and 4 and their respective Companions as well as "the Mistress."

All speaking roles also double as dancers in one or more numbers playing roles including Daleks, Weeping Angels, Cyberwomen, and more. No prior burlesque experience is required, but performers must be comfortable and confident with their bodies as revealing to pasties and panties is required. Must be 21 or over.

Audition Dates: TU, Oct 23, 8-10pm and TH, Oct 25, 6-8pm at Gorilla Tango's Bucktown Theatre (1919 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL 60647), Callbacks on a date and time TBD

Pay: Percentage of ticket sales + tips.

Time Commitment: 2-3 rehearsals per week in Nov/Dec/Jan. Shows run an hour long on Fridays at 9pm (8:30pm call time) Feb 1 through Apr 6 with a possible extension.

Material to prepare: Come prepared to move. You will be taught a short dance to perform that will include an improvised striptease portion in which you will be required to strip to bra and panties. You will also be asked to read a variety of scenes.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule an audition, please send headshot and resume to doctorwho@gorillatango.com.

Now I wanna know what they're gonna call the show! Do you have any ideas? If so, share them in the comment section below and my favorite answers will win a cool DOCTOR WHO-themed prize!

Somehow, Lolla’s all over already. This is what we loved and didn’t enjoy quite as much from day 3. Best: I gotta give it to Florence and the Machine. Seems like an obvious choice, but she was just so fun and engaged with the crowd (and the storms). Even her songs I wasn’t familiar with were exciting...
