A Tale of Two Podcasts

A few weeks ago I was asked to appear on a couple podcasts that originate in Chicago. Due to a bit of absent-mindedness on my part, I ended up doing both podcasts on the same day. It made for quite the experience!

First up, I sat down with the gals of the Your Chicago Podcast. If you've never listened to their podcast before, you're going to get a kick out of listening to Arden Joy and Stefania Rudd, the two hosts. Both these ladies are fun and geeky, with a real passion for all things Chicago.

We discussed our shared love of Doctor Who and pizza, and we went into the geek and nerd "scene" in the city. We also discussed C2E2 and what to expect from one of the biggest pop culture events of the year!

Please note that Stefania did an excellent job of keeping me caffeinated, refilling my Doctor Who coffee mug throughout the podcast and keeping me focused.

She and Arden also plied me with donuts from Glazed and Infused!

(For the record, I only ate a small corner of a donut! Please tell me geekfit trainers Joey Thurman and Marcus Warren that!)

I had a lot of fun and I hope that comes through when you take a listen:

It wouldn't be until I headed over to meet the gals of Champagne & Snark that I'd come down from my caffeine high and get loosened up with some bubbly.

Sitting down with Ana Fernatt - of Accidentally Sexy- and her partner-in-crime Kristin Rupert is an experience I won't soon forget.

I already adore Ana, having known her for years, but I became enamored of Kristin very quickly, who not only has a sharp wit, but also lives with the most handsome cat in the city. (We spend some time talking about him on the podcast and I even posted a picture of Huxtable on my Instagram account.)

Please note that I was fairly boozed up by the time we took the snapshot for the podcast:

Come to think of it, I'm surprised that I was coherent as I was, considering all the drinking we were doing! Okay, well maybe not that coherent...

Please give these a listen, subscribe to these great podcasts, and let me know what you thought!
