You can stay home and watch too much TV. Or you can go to Kings Island, Ohio, just outside Cincinnati, and in a sense, become part of Saturday morning cartoons. Chase Rugrats, for instance, or ride Scooby-Doo’s Ghoster Coaster at Paramount’s Kings Island. Open weekends for now, daily for the summer starting Memorial Day weekend. Admission ages 7-59, $32.95; ages 3-6 and 60-plus, $18.95. (800-288-0808) . . . Most people wish they could just see the future. Meanwhile, Disneyland has been changing it — at least as it pertains to Tomorrowland. Starting May 22, you can ride the new Space Mountain, board the Astro Orbiter or become part of “Honey, I Shrunk the Audience.” One-day admission: adults, $38; children ages 3-11, $28; seniors $36. (714-781-4565) . . . The Broadmoor, Colorado Springs’ five-star, five-diamond resort, allows children 12 and under to stay and dine free, when accompanying a paying adult, during Memorial Day ($145/night), Fourth of July ($147/night) and Labor Day ($112/night) weekends. Also free — for the whole family — are horseback trail rides, bicycle rental, and passes to Broadmoor Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. (800-634-7711)

AIR DEALS

The deal: For $69, Virgin Atlantic will fly you round trip from London to one of 11 other European cities, or put you in a rental car for four days, or get you a round-tripper on the Eurostar “Chunnel” train. Deal’s good through Oct. 31. The catch: You have to buy your U.S.-London tickets from Virgin Atlantic 21 or 45 days in advance. New York and Boston weekday departures start at $449 (excluding the $69) through June 15, and $599 after that. (800-862-8621) . . . This one comes in the form of a challenge: Buy a round-trip Club World (Business class) ticket on British Airways for travel through June 30. You’ll earn double miles. But if you don’t like the experience, write the airline, and they’ll see that you get a certificate good for a trip in First Class or on the Concord. (800-597-6352)

BEDDING DOWN

From mid-May to the end of August, you can go back to school, this time in Canada, and nobody will yell at you for sleeping through class. There’s no homework, but there is a little cash involved — $58 and up — for student residence townhouses at the University of Toronto at Scarborough, Ontario. (416-287-7356)

HISTORY TOURS

HistoryAmerica Tour’s first Crazy Horse and Custer excursion sold out. So the company has scheduled a second for June 22-28. The $1,069 tariff includes ground transport in and around Billings, Mont., lodging, most meals and baggage handling. John McDermott, who served on the President’s Council for Historic Preservation, is the guide. (800-628-8542) . . . Civil War trips are also being conducted by HistoryAmerica, in cooperation with The Civil War Trust and The History Channel. Topics, sites, days and dates vary. Tours are guided by people such as Pulitzer Prize-winning author James McPherson and Edwin Bearss, chief historian emeritus of the National Park Service. (800-300-1503)

Tour prices generally are per person, based on double occupancy.
