Let the Valentine's Day scramble begin.
Foursquare recently rounded up some data on locations in U.S. cities from more than 3 billion check-ins to see which cities are the most (and least) romantic and which restaurants are the most romantic on Valentine's Day. And the winners are...
French restaurants
Cupcake shops
Wineries
Steakhouses
Italian restaurants
Dessert shops
Thai restaurants
Sushi restaurants
Indian restaurants
Seafood restaurants
Chicago didn't make the cut as the most romantic city--but we didn't land in the list of least romantic cities, either. So we have that going for us.
Fun fact: Foursquare also found that flower shops were the most popular spots for last-minute Valentine's Day shopping, specifically at 3 p.m. the day of. Great job! Way to go, society!
