Showtime's 'Shameless' filming in Chicago next week

Chicago’s film scene is about to get a little more crowded.

“Shameless” -- the Showtime dramedy starring William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum --will shoot exterior scenes for its upcoming third season in the Chicago area Monday-August 31 (interior scenes are filmed in the Los Angeles area). During past visits, the cast and crew has filmed in the North Lawndale neighborhood.

“Shameless” will join a handful of other projects currently shooting in Chicago, including Bollywood film “Dhoom 3” and the TV shows “Chicago Fire,” which premieres on NBC October 10, and “The Mob Doctor,” which premieres on Fox Sept. 17.

Atmosphere Casting is currently looking for boys and girls ages 8-18 who can skateboard and people with beat up cars, circa 2000 or older, to take part in the “Shameless” shoot. For details, click here.

Season three of “Shameless” will premiere in 2013.
