Like any celeb with a new book to plug, Common has been making the media rounds the last few weeks. He's been interviewed by "The Daily Show," "The Wendy Williams Show," MSNBC's "Morning Joe" and Oprah Winfrey's "O" magazine.
Next week, the Chicago rapper/actor -- whose memoir, "One Day It'll All Make Sense," made the New York Times Best Seller List -- can be found on the cover of October's Michigan Avenue magazine.
In the issue, Common talks about his friendship with Kanye West ("He will speak his mind when it comes down to it," Common told Michigan Avenue), his legacy ("You want to be a part of quality things that will have impact for generations to come.") and his future goals (“I want Oscars.")
Common's TV drama, "Hell on Wheels" debuts on AMC Nov. 6. His album, "The Dreamer, The Believer," is scheduled to hit stores Nov. 22.
