The reality show revolves around a group of strangers who are living together in one house and competing in various game show-like activities. the last remaining houseguest receives the $500,000 grand prize.

The casting call page’s FAQ says the only requirements are that you be at least 21 years old and a US Citizen, but you’ll quickly realize there are other requirements after looking at past cast members. They’re typically young, good looking and in great shape.

The 15th season of “Big Brother” featured two Chicago-area natives, including public speaking professor Andy Herren, who won that season’s grand prize.
