Chicago's Profiles Theatre Company says it has changed the first show of its upcoming season. In place of the previously announced "Blood From a Stone" by Tommy Nohilly, Profiles now will stage the Midwest prremiere of "Sweet and Sad" by Richard Nelson, a drama about a family reflecting on the impact of September 11, 2001.
"Sweet and Sad" premiered at the New York Public Theatre last season. Joe Jahraus will stage the Chicago production at Profiles' new space The Main Stage, 4147 N. Broadway (formerly the home of the National Pastime Theatre). Opening night is set for Aug. 24.
