Northlight announces 2012-13 season

Northlight Theatre, which performs at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, has announced its 2012-13 season. The slate features the previously announced production of Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple," starring Tim Kazurinsky and George Wendt, directed by artistic director BJ Jones and beginning Nov. 9.

  • "Woody Sez - The Life & Music of Woody Guthrie." New musical celebrating the life and work of the famous songwriter, devised by David M. Lutken with Nick Corley. Performances begin Sept. 14.
  • "The Whipping Man." The 2010 off-Broadway play by Matthew Lopez, set right after the Civil War. Performances begin Jan. 18.
  • "Stones in His Pockets." A new production of the Marie Jones comedy set in a small Irish town and featuring two actors playing a bevy of colorful characters. This is a co-production with the Utah Shakespeare Festival.
