New York's Lincoln Center has announced it will stage the Ayad Akhtar play "Disgraced" in October as part of its LCT3 program.
"Disgraced" premiered earlier this season at the American Theater Company in Chicago. This will be a big New York break for the rising Chicago director Kimberly Senior, whose work currently can be seen in "After the Revolution" at the Next Theatre in Evanston. The Araca Group, a commercial production company, remains attached to the project. Araca was behind ATC's premiere production. A source close to the show said that it will be recast with New York actors. This will be one of the first productions staged in the new Claire Tow Theatre, located on the roof of the famed, New York performing arts venue.Copyright © 2015, RedEye
