Celebrity dish: Chicago Bagel Authority's 'The Woody'

Greg Gibbs, owner of the Chicago Bagel Authority restaurants in Lakeview and Lincoln Park, asked regular customer and retired Cub Kerry Wood two weeks ago to come up with a sandwich for his menu, which also features The Cosby roast beef sandwich and the Stud's Turkey sandwich.

The result?

"The Woody." This sandwich includes bacon, scrambled eggs and American cheese with grape jelly on a bialy. “He said he (ate it) before every game in the clubhouse,” Gibbs said by email. “...Kerry is a really nice guy and a great customer. We’re flattered he comes in so frequently. Actually, we’re flattered everyone comes in so frequently.”
