A 37-year-old Gary man was found dead this morning and police were talking to a possible suspect in the homicide, authorities said.
About 9 a.m., police were called to the 1400 block of West 16th Avenue in Gary and found the victim dead in the house, according to a police spokesman.
Clester Sims, who resided in the home, was pronounced dead on the scene at 10:05 a.m., according to the Lake County, Ind., coroner's office.
The coroner's office determined Sims died of trauma to the neck in a homicide.
As of about 2 p.m., a woman was in custody and considered a possible suspect, but the investigation was preliminary and ongoing, according to Gary police.
