Firefighter taken to hospital from Bridgeport blaze

A firefighter was taken to a local hospital from the scene of a fire in the Bridgeport neighborhood, fire officials said.

The firefighter started feeling ill at the fire, which broke out early this morning in the 3200 block of South Aberdeen Street, according to a spokesman for the Chicago Fire Department.

The illness was said to be unrelated to the fire, and the firefighter was listed in good condition.
