A woman died Sunday night during a dispute with a family member in the Gresham neighborhood and detectives were questioning a family member, police said.
Terika Moore, 25, initially appeared to have suffered blunt force trauma to the head inside her home in the 7700 block of South Morgan Street, authorities said.
Paramedics found Moore unreponsive around 6:50 p.m. Sunday. She was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center, where she was pronounced dead at 8:01 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.
A family member of the woman was initially questioned and later released without charges.
The Cook County medical examiner's office determined that the woman died from a pulmonary thromboembolism and ruled her death natural.
