Police: Fleeing burglars bail from crashed vehicle

Police are searching for two suspects who fled a crashed vehicle after burglarizing a garage on the the Far Northwest Side, police said.

About 2:30 a.m., officers spotted two people loading items from a garage into a vehicle in the 7500 block of West Myrtle Avenue, police said.

When they saw the officers, the suspects rushed into the vehicle and fled onto the Kennedy Expressway as police officers followed, police said.

The driver of the vehicle exited the expressway and lost control of the vehicle in the 6700 block of West Ardmore Avenue, crashing into the lawn of a home.  The suspects fled the scene on foot, police said.

Police officers recovered the vehicle and items from the garage.  No suspects were in custody early this morning.

Lolla day 3: Best and worst, plus superlatives

Somehow, Lolla’s all over already. This is what we loved and didn’t enjoy quite as much from day 3. Best: I gotta give it to Florence and the Machine. Seems like an obvious choice, but she was just so fun and engaged with the crowd (and the storms). Even her songs I wasn’t familiar with were exciting...

Said shoes sent us questing after places to boogie down every night of the work week (after all, one person’s Monday is another’s Saturday). What we found were five parties, recurring Sunday...
