Two men were wounded in shootings Monday night, according to police.
One man, 33, was left in critical condition after suffering a gunshot wound to his neck and torso about 11:05 p.m. in the Calumet Heights neighborhood.
He had been found with the gunshot wounds in the 9200 block of South Stony Island Avenue, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.. He was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center and rushed into surgery, police said.
The 33-year-old was found in front of a barber shop. Police were able to get inside the shop and found blood and a shell casing. The man's bag was left behind, in the crime scene, and police are questioning at least one person in connection with the shooting.
Earlier, about 8:35 p.m., a 25-year-old was shot in the 2000 block of West 63rd Street in the West Englewood neighborhood.
He had been shot in the leg and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where he's expected to recover from his wound.
