Broadway in Chicago said Wednesday morning that it will present touring productions of "Sister Act," "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and a reprise of "Les Miserables" this year.
- "Sister Act" (Nov. 13 to Dec. 2 at the Auditorium Theatre, 50 E. Congress Pkwy.) is the current Broadway musical (score by Alan Menken) based on the Whoopi Goldberg movie about a young woman who runs away from gangsters and adds a disco beat to convent life.
- "Grinch" (Dec. 5-16 at the Cadillac Palace Theatre, 151 W. Randolph St.) is a seasonal, family-oriented show that has twice been on Broadway.
- "Les Miserables" (Nov. 14 to Dec. 2 at the Cadillac Palace) represents another Chicago stand for the revised Cameron Mackintosh touring production of this familiar title.
These bookings pretty much fill up all the Loop theaters for the late fall and holiday seasons. Individual tickets for these shows are not yet on sale.Copyright © 2015, RedEye
