An adult and a child were taken to a hospital this afternoon with smoke inhalation injuries from a fire on the South Side.
The still-and-box alarm fire was reported a little before 4 p.m. on the 1700 block of West 71st Street, according to Fire Media.
The fire was quickly brought under control, and the two victims were taken to Holy Cross Hospital in fair-to-serious condition.
Once at the hospital the two victims were reported in good condition, being evaluated and treated for smoke inhalation, according to Fire Media. No other information was available.
